OsmoTrix 360
Universal Anti-Scalant Chemical.

Pre-treatment systems for RO plants are designed to produce feed water with a reduced fouling potential by removing potential fouling species prior to membrane treatment. Common foulants include:
- Calcium carbonate and calcium sulphate scales
- Organic matter
- Iron
- Colloidal material
- Bio-film and microorganisms
- Silica
Other contaminants such as barium and strontium sulphate, calcium fluoride, aluminum silicate and manganese salts have been identified but are comparatively rare. It is also possible for surface-active chemicals such as cationic surfactants or polymeric flocculants to result in irreversible fouling.
OsmoTrix 360 has been developed specifically as a calcium sulphate inhibitor, for waters with a CaSO4 Ipb/Ksp ratio of 2.8 to 7.0. It functions by a powerful threshold mechanism that retards the precipitation of calcium sulphate, increasing its relative solubility.OsmoTrix 360 also exhibits strong inhibition properties against calcium carbonate, and is highly tolerant to the presence of iron. It is liquid Antiscalant & stabilizer Controls inorganic scales, metals and colloids in Reverse Osmosis membranes also reducing membrane fouling tendencies and minimizing membrane cleaning requirements.
OsmoTrix 360 maintains performance integrity at extreme pH and temperatures and is stable in the presence of multivalent ions such as dissolved iron and sio2. Furthermore this product will not precipitate, crystallize, or blind the membrane at high concentrations. OsmoTrix 360 contains no-phosphonates or phosphate derivative. This unique attribute allows it to perform without contributing to metal precipitation on the membranes. further it will not allow biological growth in membranes surface area, it is typically dosed into feed waters at the rate of 3.5 – 5.0 ppm and it may be injected with SMBS anti microbiological pretreatment.
